IMODOYE WRITERS RESIDENCY (Ile Iwe) The general public is cordially invited to the maiden opening ceremony of the Imodoye Residency Programme. Date: 20th of July, 2022. Time: 4pm. Venue: Imodoye Writers Enclave, Ilorin, Kwara State. Four emerging writers are expected to be hosted during the first edition of the programme.   The residency is a private and free facility that seeks to provide a conducive environment for writers to complete their ongoing works. Open call for Imodoye Writers’ Residency The Imodoye Writers’ Residency has called for applications for its inaugural edition. The three-week long residency is located at the An-Nur Gardens, Fate-Tanke, in Ilorin, Kwara State, and administered by a Residency board. The First African Cover Poet for World Poetry Magazine, Emeritus Professor Niyi Osundare is one of Imodoye Writers Enclave's Patrons, alongside Dr. Isiaka Aliagan, Col. Dele Babajamu, Dr. Mrs Cecilia Etche and Mallam Abdurahman Aderinoye. Former Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Kwara State Chapter, Dr. Usman Oladipo Akanbi is the Founder and Chairman of the board, whose other members include Kwara ANA Chairman, Mr. Babayemi Opeyemi, Mr Danjuma Adamu, Dr. Mrs Betty Ige, Abdulwahab Gambari, Miss.Aisha Akanbi  and Mr. Al-amin El-Nasir who is also the Director-General of the Enclave.
